I want to start this article by saying that I am in no way associated with this hotel and I am not getting paid to write this article by them or by anyone. Just wanted to make sure I got this out of the way before I told you how incredible my stay was at Villa Ersilia hotel last summer in August 2018.
Let’s start with the basics:
This hotel is located in Soverato. Right on the hill overlooking this beautiful southern town. It has 2 pools, 2 restaurants, a spa and everything else you would expect from a 4 star resort. Address: Via Trento e Trieste, 140, 88068 Soverato CZ, Italy – Only 45 minutes from the Lamezia Terme Airport
Rooms: Rooms were nicely decorated and definitely spacious enough for 2 people. The bathrooms are new, I only wish I took more photos of the inside of the hotel.
Lobby, Restaurant, Breakfast etc.: Lobby bar was absolutely amazing. The guy working there made some incredible espresso based drinks. He was always available and knowledgable of all the cocktails I was requesting.
Even though I was “on vacation” I still took care of business related conference calls and other work related video calls back in Canada and in the US. The staff was always super helpful in getting me space in the most quiet spot on the resort. Internet connection was pretty good if you are looking to stay on top of business while in Soverato.
Breakfast: served from 7AM to 10AM every day buffet style. Lots and lots of different things offered everyday. From fruit, to pastries and even some other savoury breakfast options that changed daily. Service during breakfast was also as usual pretty good.
Pool: Incredible! Loved the pool at Villa Ersilia. Imagine the movie Call me by your name, but with a pool and a much more luxurious environment. It was absolutely amazing. Picture below.
Location: As I mentioned earlier Villa Ersilia is located just outside of the town of Soverato. Walking to town takes about 10 minutes, and walking to the beach is about 15 minutes max. Pretty great location overall.
Overall Review: Loved it! If you are looking to stay in an incredible hotel on the ionic sea I absolutely recommend it. It’s everything you would expect from a Southern Italian hotel: amazing food, warm hospitality and breathtaking views.
